What materials can be cut with a cutting robot?
With a cutting robot, boards can be cut of any material able to be placed inside the machine’s frame. These materials include, among other things:
- Gypsum
- Gypsum fireboard
- Fermacell fibreboard
- Gypsum floorboard
- Floor chipboard
- Plywood
- Powerboard H2O
- System ceilings
- Troldtekt
- Wind plaster
- Wet room gypsum

What board sizes can I cut with a cutting robot?
The cutting robot is available in four models.
KOBOTS 912 can handle boards of up to 900 x 1200 mm
KOBOTS 925 can handle boards of up to 900 x 2500 mm
KOBOTS 1225 can handle boards up to 1250 x 2500 mm
KOBOTS 1230 can handle boards up to 1250 x 3050 mm
What is the maximum board thickness that a cutting robot can cut?
Boards with a thickness of up to 25 mm can be cut with a cutting robot. It is not safe to place thicker boards in the machine, because the boards are too thick to be able to sit securely within the cutting robot’s frame.
How much time does it take to assemble or disassemble a cutting robot?
It takes approx. 10 minutes to assemble or disassemble a cutting robot.
The cutting robot is a mobile cutting tool that can be simply and easily assembled and disassembled regardless of whether it is being used at a construction site, a workshop, or some other location.
How much space is needed to be able to set up a cutting robot?
This is the space needed for cutting robot variants KOBOTS 912, KOBOTS 925 and KOBOTS 1225.

How much space does a cutting robot take up when it is fully packed up?
A cutting robot is delivered in 5-6 boxes, depending upon whether an KOBOTS 912 or 925 has been ordered. The KOBOTS 912 can fit in by far most normal delivery vans, whereas the KOBOTS 925 requires a larger delivery van, for boxes of up to 305 cm.
How is the cutting robot controlled?
The cutting robot is controlled via the accompanying smartphone. The user can either enter the desired dimensions by manual entry via the KOBOTS app or by speaking the dimensions through its voice control.
Is the KOBOTS app available for both iOS and Android?
No, it is only possible to download the KOBOTS app for Android.
When renting or purchasing a cutting robot, there is an accompanying Android smartphone, so you do not need to use your own telephone or buy one especially for the purpose.

How quickly can I get assistance if there are technical problems with a cutting robot?
If you are experiencing technical problems with your cutting robot or have a need for support, it is always possible to contact Support & Service Hotline at (+45) 3147 0301. KOBOTS Support is able to connect online to your cutting robot, allowing them to attempt to remedy the problem immediately. If the problem cannot be resolved by online support, we will send a technician out to you within 24 hours. Most often, you will receive assistance within a couple of hours.
Furthermore, we will ensure that your cutting robot is always updated, since our technicians can send updates online directly to your machine.
How do I get started with using a cutting robot?
When renting or purchasing a cutting robot, KOBOTS will ensure that the requisite training is provided for the machine, so you get off to a good and safe start. We ensure that you are properly fitted out, so you can handle difficult cuts, solve unexpected technical challenges and are able to train a colleague, etc.
When purchasing a minimum of one cutting robot, a 2-day training course is included, ensuring that you are well-prepared for a number of various situations. Location of training will be agreed upon individually.
You will always receive a direct contact person, who you can always contact if you are in doubt about how to make a specific cut or if the machine suddenly does something unexpected.
How should I maintain our cutting robot?
The cutting robot is relatively maintenance-free. It must be cleansed periodically of dust in order to make sure that everything mechanical is kept clean. The cutting robot must only be cleaned using a vacuum cleaner.
All strips and guides must be regularly vacuumed free of dust. In addition, the blade must be vacuumed regularly in order to ensure that the dust from the boards does not jam up the angle grinder.
Technical specifications
Can I make bevel cuts with a cutting robot?
No, it is not possible at the present point in time to cut bevels with a cutting robot.

Can the cutting robot make round holes?
No, it is not possible to make round holes with the cutting robot. Fundamentally, the cutting robot can cut the same thing, as you can cut with a plunge saw. You can cut rectangular holes with the machine.
What type of blade is mounted on the cutting robot?
An eternity cutting blade with a 125 mm diameter is mounted on the cutting robot.
How often should I change the blade on a cutting robot?
You can make approx. 5,000 cuts with the blade that is delivered with the cutting robot.
What requirements are posed of my vacuum cleaner for cutting with a cutting robot?
We recommend that you use an H-class vacuum cleaner, preferably with a dust chamber, in order to produce the least possible dust when cutting with a cutting robot. We also recommend that you choose a vacuum cleaner with a suction power of 3,000 l/min.
A vacuum cleaner is not included with the purchase of a cutting robot.

How quickly can KOBOTS deliver a cutting robot to us?
Most often, we are able to deliver a cutting robot with a delivery time of a few days in Denmark.
During periods when the demand is greatest, we can experience that delivering a cutting robot may take a couple of weeks. We recommend that you contact us as quickly as possible once you know when you will be using a cutting robot on your project, so we can then reserve a machine for the desired point in time – thus enabling you to benefit from a cutting robot right from the start of the project.

A cutting robot can be rented on a weekly and monthly basis.
Is there a minimum rent period when renting a cutting robot?
A cutting robot can be rented for a week or more.

How large should a project be in order for it to justify investing in a cutting robot?
It completely depends on your workflow and what the project is and types of tasks involved.
With a cutting robot and the right workflow, it is possible to feed up to 6 workers (for our best customer case) with cut boards.
It also depends very much on how often the cutting robot can be used in the project.
The most expensive rent price is approx. DKK 600 per day for a cutting robot.
